# January 15, 2024 [[SSM]] and [[fabric]] are not compatible. It will parse the `ProxyCommand`, but still wants a hostname to connect to. This can be ``host`` in the `.ssh/config` configuration, but it still wants to talk directly to it, from what I can tell.
